These terms cover your use of the Distant Lands game and this website. By creating an account you agree to them. Questions: [email protected].

Your account

You need to be at least 13 years old. Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens on your account. One person per account.

Fair play

Do not fake your location, automate play, tamper with the app or its network traffic, exploit bugs for gain, or interfere with the service or other players. We may reset progress gained that way, or suspend or close the account.

Playing outdoors

You play at your own risk. Stay aware of your surroundings, obey the law, and do not trespass or enter unsafe places. Never play while driving. Places shown in the game come from public map data and are not an invitation to enter them.

The game

The game is provided as it is. It is still changing: features, balance, items and progress may change or be reset, and the service may be unavailable at times or end. Game items and currency have no real-world value and remain ours; you are licensed to use them in the game.

Content you submit

Usernames and place requests must not be offensive, misleading or infringe anyone's rights. We may change or remove them. You allow us to use approved place requests in the game.

Ending

You can delete your account at any time on the account deletion page. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the game. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer protection law.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa.

Changes

We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version. Continuing to play means you accept them.
